This picture caused much worry for Christopher's parents, and they
immediately took him in to the doctor. Christopher's
surgery went well and prognosis is good.
Jaycen is a typical 4 year old who loves to play Super Heroes!! He was
diagnosed with coats Jan. 2004.

Ethan was diagnosed October of 2005. He will be three in January, and has
already lost all vision in his right eye. Coats has in no way slowed this
child down. He goes as hard and fast as ever. His older brother Mason and
younger sister Lola are also in this picture.
Ashley was diagnosed with Coats' Disease when she was two. She is
now 5 and a happy 5 year old she is!

Little 9 month old Michael was just diagnosed on January 17th of 2005 and
his first Chryotherapy on January 19th at the Wills Eye Hospital in
Philadelphia. Originally thinking he had Retino Blastoma, we were thrill
that he only has Coats in one eye. He is the joy of our lives. Linda

Big brother Gavriel keeps little sister Ameenah company.
Ameenah was diagnosed at 6 months of age in September 2004. She just
had her first surgery in January, and is doing great!
Captain Mike Hazlip flashes a big smile after his first solo
airplane flight. He made a few take-off's and landings
in a Cessna 152, with a serious shortage of copilots and nearby ground.
Although his left eye started leaking recently, laser treatments every
few months have kept the vision at 20/30 in the affected eye.
Sarah shows off her duckie costume from her dance recital, before
she puts it away to start soccer. Watch for her in the 2016
Olympics!
Paul was diagnosed with Coats' at the age of 13, and was not
treated because of how it developed and the advanced stage when
diagnosed. His peripheral sight actually became a bit better over time,
although the center is still missing. Paul is now a retired
firefighter, and keeps busy with his five children.

Jim West enjoying a great day with his three kids. His wife and
two dogs are not shown. Cryotherapy was still new when Jim was
diagnosed and treated in his left eye as a child. Afterwards,
Coats' did not prevent Jim from enjoying any sport.
